Mike Fanning, a native of Columbia, South Carolina, is a graduate of Wofford College, Benedict College, and the University of South Carolina – where he holds Masters, Educational Specialist, and Ph.D. degrees in Educational Administration, Leadership, and Policy.
Mike is a former teacher. He has taught high school students (Social Studies) at Estill High School (Hampton School District #2) and Columbia High School (Richland School District #1).
For the past fourteen years, Mike has served as the Executive Director of the Olde English Consortium - located in Chester, South Carolina. The Olde English Consortium is an educational collaborative seeking to promote excellence through collaboration. It serves to promote efficiency and cooperation in the localities of the North Central region of South Carolina. One if the consortium’s goals is to bring all stakeholders together to improve education, economic development, and the quality of life in the region...and across South Carolina.
Mike lives on a small farm in Mitford (Fairfield County) with his wife, Stephanie, and their 16-year old son, Markell.
